Yule's Apiaries was founded in 2006 by Lucas Yule. Mr. Yule developed a deep passion for honeybees as a young child. In the early 80's you would have found him strolling through the clover patches of Mt. Clemens, MI with a mason jar. Looking a little closer you would have seen a jar full of honeybees. During the 90's, you may have found him climbing the bee trees in the swamps of Belle Chasse, LA. It wasn't until about 1994 that he finally received his first colony of honeybees. One day while riding with his parents on Rt. 73 between Rt. 29 and Rt. 663 in SE Pennsylvania, they passed a large white building. The white building had a very large honeybee painted on the front wall. The young 14 year old begged his parents to turn around to have a look inside. Once inside the young Mr. Yule urged his parents to buy him a hive kit, and order a package of honeybees. Now at age 29, he manages over 50 hives in Southeastern, PA. Yule's Apiaries now plans to increase its numbers to over 400 colonies. Mr. Yule's love of honeybees is no secret, as he is never short of words for this intriguing insect.
